Women's Outdoor T&F Field Athlete of the Week

Rocksann Smith became the first Seahawk to ever compete in the heptathlon, participating in the event at the TCNJ Invite & Multi. Smith placed fifth in the heptathlon with 3772 points, which is a PR and school record and ranks first in the United East, seventh in the Mid-Atlantic, and 11th in the AARTFC.
She took third in the javelin throw with 27.90m while going fourth in the shot put with a PR of 9.50m. Smith finished sixth in the 100m hurdles with a PR of 16.37 (wind +1.7) (first in United East and 23rd in Mid-Atlantic) and the long jump with a school record and PR of 4.88m (wind -3.5) (first in United East and 33rd in Mid-Atlantic) while taking seventh in the high jump with 1.44m and 200m in 27.88 (wind +0.5) (third in United East). In the 800m, she came in 10th in 2:51.73 (seventh in United East).
With her performance at the TCNJ Invite & Multi, Smith qualified for the AARTFC Outdoor Championships in the heptathlon.
