Defensive Player of the Week
Kayla DeBrow / FY / Gallaudet University / Jacksonville, Fla. / Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind

Gallaudet University’s Kayla Debrow made opponents think twice about driving into the post area as the first-year center tallied eight blocks and grabbed 30 rebounds with 17 on the defensive end of the court in two conference wins last week. Debrow scored 12 of her career-high 15 points in the first half of last Tuesday’s 63-50 win at home over Lancaster Bible College. Debrow tallied a double-double with 14 rebounds and swatted two shots, passed out two assists and made one steal. Debrow followed that up another double-double of 10 points and 16 rebounds last Saturday at Keystone College. The Bison erased an 18-point deficit en route to a 50-41 victory and Debrow helped the comeback with six blocks, three steals and two assists. For the week, Debrow recorded 25 points, 30 rebounds (17 defensive), eight blocks, four steals and four assists as the Bison went 2-0.

This is DeBrow's first ever weekly accoalde.
