Merchant was a force on the defensive end, averaging eight blocks and collecting 29 total rebounds. She posted a 16-point, 17-rebound, 8-block performance in a narrow 55-52 loss to Penn College, where she also added an assist and a steal. Merchant closed the week with another 8-block performance in a 73-40 victory over Cairn University. She also collected four points, 12 boards, two assists, and a steal in the win against the Highlanders.
