Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week

Upchurch was dominant defensively for the Bison, leading to her second Defensive Player of the Week honor this season. The junior recorded 15 digs or more in each of Gallaudet’s four matches, tying a season-high 27 in the match against DeSales University. At the conclusion of the week, Upchurch had racked up 76 digs and earned an All-Tournament selection at the Worthington Classic. The libero also pitched on the offense slightly as she compiled seven aces and six assists across the 16 sets played.
