VanHoeven spun the ball well, picking up wins in both of her circle appearances over the week. In the 9-0 shutout of Morrisville, the freshman went the distance, allowing just a single Mustang hit. She then picked up another win over Wells, pitching 3.0 innings and allowing just a single earned run. On the week, VanHoeven finished with 12 punch outs and an ERA of just 0.78. She also pitched in on offense, racking up four hits and five RBI.
