Offensive Player of the Week - Volt Division
Donyae Baylor-Carroll / Sr / Penn State Harrisburg / Harrisburg, Pa. / Milton Hershey
Donyae Baylor-Carroll reached a pair of major milestones in leading Penn State Harrisburg to a couple of non-conference victories last week. The senior shot 55.6 percent from beyond the arc (5-of-9) en route to netting a game-high 26 points to go along with five rebounds and five assists in a road win at CCNY on Monday night. In a road victory at Neumann two nights later, the NCAA Division III active 3-point field goal leader hit five more triples on 45.5 percent shooting from distance to become the first active player to reach the 300 mark for his career. The guard netted a game-high 25 points in the process and helped hold 2023 NABC All-American Jalen Vaughns to just 11 points in the win. In a setback at Bridgewater (Va.) on Saturday afternoon, Baylor-Carroll became the third-fastest active player in Division III to surpass the 1,600-point mark for his career thanks to scoring a team-high 15 points and grabbing four more boards. For the week, he averaged 22 points, four rebounds, and three assists per game. This is the third Athlete of the Week honor for Baylor-Carroll this season (November 27, 2023 and November 13, 2023).
