Gallaudet All-American senior sprinter Eric Gregory lowered his indoor school record in the 60-meter dash on Saturday at the Joe LaRocco Invitational in the Cregger Field House hosted by Roanoke College.  Gregory lowered his 60-meter dash time down to 6.89 seconds as he finished fourth overall in the event. Gregory's previous best time was 6.91 seconds set last month (Jan. 26) at the VMI Invitational. In a longer event, Gregory won the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.74 seconds. GU's 4x400 meter relay team of Gareth Ashton (Austin, Texas), Trey Johnson (Kyle, Texas), Walter Douglas (Sanford, Fla.) and Gregory came in sixth with a time of 3:36.01.  Currently, Gregory ranks nationally in the following events; 200-meter dash (2nd), 400-meter dash (17th), 60-meter dash (28th). He also posted the fastest time in the 300-meter dash (33.27 seconds) in NCAA Division III history earlier this season. That event is not one that is run at the NCAA championships.
This is the 10th Athlete of the Week honor for Gregory who is a two-time NCAA Division III National Champion (400m; 2022 & 2023; outdoors) as well as a four-time All-American.
