Gallaudet Volleyball Bows Out of NCAA Championship

HENRIETTA, N.Y. - The Gallaudet University volleyball team bowed out of the Division III NCAA Championship Friday afternoon as the Bison fell, 3-0 (25-10, 25-11, 25-13), to Juniata College on the campus of the Rochester Institute of Technology. Gallaudet finishes its season with a record of 21-12.

The Bison fought valiantly across all three sets, holding tight with the Falcons across the opening points in every one. United East Rookie of the Year, Emily Wright, had a solid outing as she registered a team-high 12 kills.  Aiding in the offense was Elina Rubinshteyn and Karita Lewis as both players finished with a pair of kills.

Facilitating the hitters was Emma Giuntoli, who accrued 11 assists on the day. 

In the back row, libero Mia Upchurch led the way with nine digs while Lewis was not far behind with eight.
