United East Unveils 2023 Women's Soccer - Skye Division - All-Conference Teams and Major Award Winners

LATHAM, N.Y. -  The United East conference has announced its 2023 Women’s Soccer All-Conference Teams for the Skye Division.  The All-Conference Teams are made up of 12 student-athletes, each with three forwards, three midfielders, three defenders, one goalkeeper, and two at-large honorees.  Four major awards have been handed out including Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and Coach of the Year.

Bryn Athyn College led the way with 8 members of the team awarded All-Conference honors, including Player of the Year and Coach of the Year.  Wilson College had 7 members honored, including the Rookie of the Year, and Cairn University had the Defensive Player of the Year as well as 6 representatives on the teams, respectively.

Bryn Athyn midfielder Kira Bradley (So. / Levittown, Pa.) was named the 2023 United East Player of the Year - Skye Division after leading the Lions to an unbeaten conference season and a Skye Division regular season championship.  During the sophomore campaign, Bradley led the United East by racking up 27 goals and 11 assists for 65 total points on the season.  Nationally, in the whole of NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer, Bradley ranks 2nd for Total Points, 2nd in Points per Game (3.82), 2nd in Goals per Game (1.59), 3rd for Goals, and 12th in Assists.  Bradley was awarded United East Offensive Player of the Week three times during the season. 
 
Rachel Yoder (Gr. / Telford, Pa.) wraps up an impressive career for Cairn University being named the 2023 United East Defensive Player of the Year - Skye Division.  Yoder held up the back line for a Highlander defensive unit that allowed 0.78 Goals Against in United East play The three-year starter played in all but 8 minutes of the season for a total of 1542:00 out of a possible 1550:00.    Additionally, Yoder set career high’s offensively putting 24 Shots on Goal, scoring 7 Goals, handing out 6 Assists, and totaling 20 Points. 
 
Annie Smith (FY / Hagerstown, Md.)  had a strong debut season enroute to being named the 2023 United East Rookie of the Year - Skye Division.  This season, Smith tallied 16 goals, 9 assists, and 41 points; all good for Top 5 honors within the United East.  Smith’s 41 points is good for 22nd in all of NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer.  Smith was the United East Player of the Week for the week of October 2 after scoring 5 goals and handing out 2 assists across three games that week. 
 
Bill O’Neill has been voted United East Coach of the Year - Skye Division after guiding the Lions to an unbeaten conference season (8-0-1; Skye Division), a 13-3-1 regular season,  and the Skye Division regular season championship.  The Lions outscored their conference opponents 46-2, and across the whole season, averaged 3.588 Goals per Game while only giving up 0.82 Goals per Game.  Additionally, eight members of the program were awarded All-Conference honors including the Player of the Year.
