LATHAM, N.Y. - The United East Conference has announced its 2024 Men’s Volleyball All-Conference Teams. The All-Conference Teams are made up of seven student-athletes on each team with two separate teams for this season. Four major awards have been handed out including Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and Coach of the Year.
All seven United East institutions that sponsor Men’s Volleyball were represented across the two All-Conference teams and major awards. Lancaster Bible College led the way with six individuals named All-Conference while Cairn University had three individuals on the teams. Wilson College had two individuals named while Saint Elizabeth University, Bryn Athyn College, and Pratt Institute were each represented by one member on the All-Conference teams, respectively. The University of Valley Forge was represented by the league’s Rookie of the Year.

Coach of the Year - Jade Brubaker (Lancaster Bible College)
Jake Rotelle (So. / Honey Brook, Pa.) has been named the 2024 United East Offensive Player of the Year after leading the Chargers to an undefeated 6-0 record in league play for the second-straight season. In conference matches, Rotelle led the league in Kills per Set (3.50) while tallying 56 Total Kills and swinging at a .383 Hitting Percentage. He was also second in Points per Set (3.72) while accounting for 56 Kills in just 16 sets played. Rotelle was integral to a Lancaster Bible attack that swung at a .431 Hitting Percentage in league play while averaging 13.95 Kills per Set and 2.10 Services Aces per Set. Rotelle earned United East Offensive Player of the Week once this season and was an Honorable Mention award winner for the 2023 season.
Ben Latham (So. / Orange Park, Fl.) from Lancaster Bible College is the 2024 United East Defensive Player of the Year after the Chargers won the regular season with an undefeated 6-0 record for the second-straight season. Latham led the Chargers defense, which didn’t drop a set in league play, racking up 269 Total Digs for a 2.96 Digs per Set average; both good for second in the United East and 15th in NCAA Division III. Latham was named United East Defensive Player of the Week four separate times this season while also setting the season-high for Digs in 3-Sets with 13 on March 16, 2024, against Valley Forge.
Tyler Younger (FY / Chesapeake, Va) had an impactful debut season for University of Valley Forge, playing in 82 out of a possible 84 sets, averaging 2.98 points per set and 2.42 Kills per Set and earning the 2024 United East Rookie of the Year. In all matches, Younger had 113 Kills and 231 Total Points in 82 Sets Played. In league play, Younger’s 71.5 Points was good for 5th in the league while picking up 2.42 Digs per Set: good for 8th in the United East. Younger was named United East Player of the Week on April 1 after he led Patriots over Wilson with 18 kills, 3 service aces, 15 digs, 2 blocks, and a game-high total of 22.5 points. His 18-kill match is the highest single-match total in the United East this season.
Jade Brubaker guided Lancaster Bible to an undefeated regular season in 2024 after an undefeated league season in the CSAC during 2023. In United East play, the Chargers led the league in Points, Hitting Percentage, Assists, Kills, Service Aces, and Digs while limiting opponents to a .028 Hitting Percentage and not dropping a set during the six league matches. This is the first United East Coach of the Year nod for Brubaker, and fifth overall, who has won the award previously in 2023 (CSAC), 2019 (NEAC), 2018 (NEAC), and 2017 (NEAC).
