Chargers Conclude Season in NCAA Championship First Round

BOSTON, Mass. - The Lancaster Bible College men’s volleyball team fell to No. 3 Wentworth Institute of Technology, 3-0 (25-18, 25-15, 25-14), Friday evening in the opening round of the Division III NCAA Championship. The Chargers conclude their season with a record of 15-14 and the title of United East Champions.

The Chargers gave the Leopards trouble in the opening set, using stout defense to elongate points. Only down four midway through the stanza, Wentworth was able to stave off the chance of a LBC opening-set upset. In sets two and three, the Leopards used early runs to take quick leads and maintained them through the duration of the match.

Jordan Yoder led the offensive attack as he finished with a team-high eight kills. Dawson Forney racked up seven kills, hitting at a clip of .308. Feeding the ball was Christian Herr, who dished out 23 assists.

Defensively, Ben Latham piled up eight digs while Yoder corralled five.
