Penn College Concludes Softball Season in NCAA Regional

BETHLEHEM, Pa - The Penn College Wildcats (30-12) concluded the 2024 Softball season Friday afternoon as they were upended by no. 2 Roanoke College, 8-0.

The Wildcats finished the year earning the 2024 United East Conference Championship. They made their second appearance in four years in the NCAA Tournament, ultimately falling short in the Bethleham Regional.

No. 2 Roanoke def. No. 4 Penn College - 8-0 (5 Inn.)

Roanoke struck in the top of the first inning with two runs from a triple to left field, and a single down the left field line. The Wildcats limited the offensive power of the Maroons for the next two innings before they plated an additional six runs in the top of the fourth to take an 8-0 command. 

For Penn College, junior Hailey DeBrody and sophomore Collen Cole recorded the only two hits in the contest, while Madison Herriman drew a walk. Fayth Anderson (13-3) recorded one strikeout.

No. 2 Roanoke will advance to take on No. 1 Moravian University in the elimination game.
