LATHAM, Pa. - The United East Conference has unveiled its All-Conference Teams and Major Award winners in the sport of Women’s Soccer. All three All-Conference teams are made up of three forwards, four midfielders, four defenders, one goalie and two at-large selections. Additionally, the conference has named its Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Coach of the Year.
Player of the Year - Janae Bergey (Lancaster Bible College)
Defensive Player of the Year - Allie Petryszak (St. Mary’s College of Maryland)
Rookie of the Year - Ella Garman (Penn College)
Coach of the Year - Brandon West (Penn State Harrisburg)
Bergey was an offensive machine as she helped lead her Chargers to a 10 win season including five in conference action. The senior netted 23 goals this season which is tied for the most in all of Division III. This is helped by some pristine shot accuracy as she scores on 67.5 of her shot attempts. Filling up the stat sheet, Bergey also accrued five assists to give her 51 points this year (fourth-most in the country). Five different times Bergey notched a hat trick this year including back-to-back-to-back hat tricks during a midseason stretch. Bergey was tabbed the United East Offensive Player of the Week after that period.
Petryszak was a menace for opposing forwards as she was leader on the Seahawk defense. In conference play, the junior captain aided a position group that allowed just two goals against and only 19 total shots on net. Her defensive unit posted eight clean sheets on the year including shutouts against #20 TCNJ and #2 William Smith. Petryszak chipped in on offense a couple of times throughout the year as well, scoring five goals and assisting on another. She was tabbed the United East Defensive Player of the Week in the opening week of the season
Garman showed up to the Wildcat squad and made an immediate impact in her first year. Registering the most shots-per-game in conference play (5.75), the first year forward turned a lot of those into goals as her seven conference-play scores ranked fourth in the United East. She’d net 12 on the entire season and add three assists totaling 28 points (fourth in the conference). Garman recorded a goal in nine contests this year including a hat trick against Keystone midyear. The Boiling Springs, Pa. native was tabbed the United East Offensive Player of the Week on 9/22/2025.
It was another year of solid, consistent play from Coach Brandon West’s squad as they captured their second-straight Regular Season and Championship title. Boasting a record of 14-5-4, West’s squad picked up their signature win in mid-October as they upset #4 Messiah University, 1-0. In conference play, the Lions dominated as they went a perfect 8-0-0. Defense was the key as his squad did not allow a single goal in conference play and only allowed three shots on target. His efforts saw nine players earn All-Conference honors with five earning a spot on the First Team.
