Lancaster Bible Repeats as United East Men's Volleyball Champions

LANCASTER, Pa. - For the second-straight season, the Lancaster Bible College men’s volleyball team were crowned United East Champions as the top-seeded Chargers upended No. 2 Wilson College, 3-0 (25-14, 25-14, 25-15), Saturday afternoon.

Along with earning the title of United East champs, Lancaster Bible also earns the automatic qualifier for the NCAA Championship. The selection show for that will take place at 10 AM on Monday.

Lancaster Bible continued what it has done all season as they didn’t give up a single set to a conference opponent. Eventual Finals Most Valuable Player, Jordan Yoder, played a large role in the victory as he swung for a team-high 11 kills while hitting at a clip of .556. Right behind him was first year Carson Hoover, who registered 10 kills. As a team, the Chargers posted a hitting percentage of .321 and that was in large part due to solid facilitation from Tyler Martin who finished with 35 helpers.

Defensively, Yoder earned a double-double as he led the squad with 12 digs. Libero Nicholas Marion also pitched in 10. At the net, middle Kevin Bryant led everyone with four total blocks.

Jackson Wolfe was the high point for the Phoenix as he led the squad with six kills. Camden Sterner and Ryan Koontz both picked up seven digs as well.
