CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Penn College softball team concluded its run in the 2025 NCAA Championship as they fell, 5-1, to Lebanon Valley College Friday afternoon. With the result, the Wildcats finish the season with a record of 28-17.
The third inning was where most of the action took place as the Dutchman plated four in the top half of the side. Penn College answered with a single run in the bottom of the frame as Grace Lorson took home on a two-runner steal situation. Lebanon Valley would then score the game’s final run in the seventh.
Despite the loss, the Wildcats outhit the Dutchman, 7-6. Grace Lorson and Payton Crawford both finished the contest going 2-for-4.
Mackenzi Tice picked up the loss in the circle, going the game’s first 2.1 innings. Mackenzie Weaver would come in to toss the final 4.2 innings, striking out three.
