Top Seeds Sweep Their Way to Men's Volleyball Final

LATHAM, N.Y. - The top seeds swept their way into the 2026 United East Men’s Volleyball Championship Final as both semifinal contests were completed Wednesday night. Top-seeded Lancaster Bible College dropped #5 Gallaudet University, 3-0, while #2 Wilson College took down #3 Cairn University by the same set score.

The Chargers will now host the Phoenix in a rematch of the 2025 Championship Final. That match will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

#1 Lancaster Bible College def. #5 Gallaudet University, 3-0 (25-17, 25-11, 25-13) (BOX SCORE)

The Charger defense stifled the Bison attack as they swept Gallaudet for the second time this year. Lancaster Bible threw up 10 total blocks in the match led by Kevin Bryant who notched five from the middle. Bryant also pitched in offensively as he led the team with 11 kills, hitting at a clip of .588. Braden Escover also had a solid night as he piled up nine kills and a pair of aces. Going back defensively, Zeke Clark led all players with 16 digs.

Zachary Bippus was a positive spot for the Gallaudet as he collected a team-high seven kills. 
 

#2 Wilson College def. #3 Cairn University, 3-0 (25-22, 25-12, 25-19  (BOX SCORE)

Jackson Wolfe and Ryan Koontz did the lion’s share of work on the offensive end for the Phoenix as they racked up 11 and 10 kills, respectively. Feeding them the ball was Satvik Sharma who finished the night with 28 assists. Demetrius Simmons aided the defensive side of the net as he and Koontz both notched three blocks.

Josh Adler hit the 20+ assist mark for the Highlanders, finishing with 23 on the evening.
