United East Announces 2026 Softball All-Conference and Major Award Winners

LATHAM, N.Y. - The United East has announced its 2026 Softball All-Conference Teams and Major Award winners. Each of the three All-Conference teams are made up of one catcher, first base, second base, shortstop, third base, three outfielders, two pitchers, one designated player, one utility player and two at-large selections. Also awarded was the Player of the Year, Pitcher of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Coach of the Year.

Major Award Winners

Player of the Year - Emily Randalls (Wilson College)

Pitcher of the Year - Mackenzi Tice (Penn College)

Rookie of the Year - Addison Woods (Wilson College)

Coach of the Year - John Clemens (Lancaster Bible College)

Randalls was locked in at the plate all season with a league leading .555 batting average which ranked fourth in all of Division III, a .598 on-base percentage and a .709 slugging percentage. The Phoenix leading hitter racked up 61 hits, seven doubles and five triples while adding 27 stolen bases on the season. She finished second in the conference with 43 runs scored and fifth with 24 RBIs. Randalls recorded 10 games with three-or-more hits in a single game including a season-high 4-for-4 game with two RBIs and three runs scored against Cedar Crest. The Dillsburg, Pa., native collected one United East Player of the Week honor this season on March 23.

Tice has thrown heat all season long, leading the conference in innings pitched (162.1), starts (23), wins (22), complete games (20), shutout (8) and strikeouts (191) which all rank within the top-10 in Division III. The sophomore ace posted a 1.72 ERA and held opposing hitters to just .194. The Mansfield, Pa., native reached double-digit strikeouts in a single game on six different occasions during the regular season, including a season-high 12 in a nonconference game against Penn State Altoona. Tice nearly matched her season high twice with 11 Ks against Penn State Berks and Keystone. This season, Tice earned three United East Pitcher of the Week selections. 

Woods hit .358 on the season and caught fire against conference opponents to post a .521 average with 25 hits, including eight doubles, two triples and two home runs for the Phoenix. She finished third in the Wilson lineup with 28 RBIs and 43 runs scored during her rookie campaign. Woods hit safely in 31 of 41 games played and posted four three-hit games against conference foes.  

Clemens led Lancaster Bible College to one of the best season-to-season turnaround in program history. The Chargers more than doubled their conference wins total from missing the postseason with a 6-10 record in 2025 to 13-3 this season and earning the fourth seed in the in United East Conference playoffs. The Chargers hit .322 which was the fourth-best mark in the conference while Clemens pitching rotation combined for a 3.92 ERA, fifth-best in the UEC. In total, Clemens helped seven Chargers earn all-conference honors with three second team and four third team selections.
