KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Two United East Conference men’s basketball programs and 11 student-athletes earned academic recognition from the National Association of Basketball Coaches for their achievements during the 2025-26 academic year.

Penn State Harrisburg and St. Mary’s College of Maryland received the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award. The honor recognizes men’s basketball programs that completed the academic year with a cumulative team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.

The NABC also named 11 United East student-athletes to its Honors Court. The recognition is awarded to junior, senior and graduate student men’s basketball players who finished the academic year with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2.

Penn College led the conference with four Honors Court selections: Jay Henry, Josh Shepherd, Landon Reeder and Peyton Murphy. Penn State Abington placed three student-athletes on the list, with Justin MacCain, Michael Cronin and Tyler Meinel receiving the honor.

St. Mary’s was represented by Ben Kobil, Jake Koverman and JD Salo, while Penn State Harrisburg’s Justin Leddo also earned a spot on the Honors Court.

More than 400 programs nationwide received Team Academic Excellence Awards, while over 2,300 student-athletes were named to the NABC Honors Court.
