LATHAM, N.Y. - The United East conference has announced its Athletes of the Week for September 22, 2026.  Today will include Athletes of the Week for Men's Cross Country, Women's Cross Country, Men's Golf, Men's Tennis and Women's Tennis

A total of five student-athletes from 4 different member institutions were recognized for their performances.

Mason Kaminski / SO / Penn State Abington / Warminster, Pa. / Council Rock South

Mason Kaminski continued his strong start to the season for Penn State Abington with a runner-up finish at the Nittany Lions' home invitational at Lorimer Park. The sophomore completed the 8K course in a season-best time of 26:25.79, recording his third consecutive top-three finish to begin the season. The performance also marked the sixth top-three finish of Kaminski's career. Runner of the Week
Ryley Schwalm / GS / Cedar Crest College / Pottsville, Pa. / Pottsville

Schwalm made an immediate impact in her Cedar Crest College debut, capturing the individual title at the DeSales University Invitational. In her first meet as a Falcon, she crossed the finish line in 23:10.04, setting a new program record for the fastest 6K time in Cedar Crest history. Golfer of the Week
Cole Cooper / SO / Wilson College / Virginia Beach, Va. / Salem

Cole Cooper turned in a strong round for Wilson College at the Penn State Mont Alto Invitational, carding a 75 to finish as the runner-up medalist. Cooper's performance placed him second in the individual standings, finishing behind only one golfer from host Penn State Mont Alto. Player of the Week
Kaan Ofluoglu / JR / Penn State Abington / Istanbul, Turkey / Marianapolis Preparatory School (Conn.)

Kaan Ofluoglu opened the fall season with a perfect 2-0 record for Penn State Abington, earning victories in both singles and doubles action. The sophomore teamed with Daniel Trott for a 6-4 win at No. 1 doubles before defeating Brian Hall in straight sets at No. 3 singles. Ofluoglu cruised to a 6-1 opening-set victory before securing the second set, 7-6, with an ace to close out the tiebreak. Player of the Week
Lily Ganjbaksh / SO / St. Mary's College of Maryland / Potomac, Md. / Winston Churchill

Lily Ganjbaksh earned victories in both singles and doubles action for St. Mary's College of Maryland against Catholic. Ganjbaksh teamed with Katherine Yao for a hard-fought 6-4 victory at No. 1 doubles to help clinch the doubles point for the Seahawks. She followed with a 6-1, 7-6 (3) victory at No. 1 singles, giving St. Mary's a 3-1 advantage in the eventual 4-3 setback.
