2012 Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week Awards

September 4, 2012
Eric LiPuma / SO / Marywood University / Midland Park, NJ / Midland Park

LiPuma finished first overall out of 85 runners in Saturday's Marywood University Invitational with a time of 20:17 on the 5.9K course. LiPuma's finish helped lead Marywood to a 3rd place finish out of 10 teams.

Dan Davis / FY / Keystone College / North Wales, PA / North Penn (HONOR ROLL)
Freshman Dan Davis finished second at the Marywood Invitational to help his team to a first place finish.  Davis crossed the line in 20:33 in his first collegiate race which served as a preview meet for the CSAC championships.

Davis crossed the line first at the Highlander Invitational in a time of 28:09 on the 8k course.  The freshman helped the Giants to a second place overall team finish.  His time was also a course record besting the previous record by over 3 minutes and 30 seconds.

Rodriguez finished first, out of 74 runners, in the Division II/III race at Saturday’s University of Delaware Invitational.  The freshman turned in a time of 27:46, five seconds ahead of the second-place finisher in the 8-kilometer race.

Eric LiPuma / SO / Marywood University / Midland Park, NJ / Midland Park
LiPuma set a new Marywood record, posting a time of 26:32, to take 10th individually at the SUNY Oneonta Airfield 8K Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Kubiak was 23rd at the Main Line Invite hosted by Haverford, a meet which included top local Division I talent.  The junior crossed the line in 20:03.10.

Eric LiPuma / SO / Marywood University / Midland Park, NJ / Midland Park (HONOR ROLL)
LiPuma finished 13th out of 61 runners on Friday at the NEPA Classic hosted by King's College. The sophomore's finish was tops among Marywood runners as the Pacers finished third out of five complete teams in the race.

Kubiak nabbed runner of the week honors for the second consecutive week after placing fifth out of 233 runner on the Long Course at the Dickinson College Long/Short Invite, a preview race for the NCAA Mideast Regional later this month with a time of 26:13.

Davis finished 19th overall at the Dickinson College Long Short Invitational to help the Giants to a 9th place team finish.  The freshman crossed the line in 27:03.

Rodriguez led Immaculata at the Goldey-Beacom Fall Classic, placing fifth overall, out of 101 runners, with a time of 29:06 in the 5-mile race.   As a team, he led the Mighty Macs to a fourth place finish out of 12 teams. 

Christoff Sanchez / FY / Centenary University / Bergenfield, NJ / Bergenfield (HONOR ROLL)
Sanchez led the Cyclones at Sunday’s Highlander Cross Country Challenge, as he posted a career-best time of 32:26 in the 5-mile race, competing against a field of Division-II and III runners.

At the Connecticut College Invite in New London, Conn. Kubiak ran a personal-best in the 8k race, placing fourth with a time of 25:14 out of 233 runners. His time helped the Griffins to a 5th place team finish out of 22 teams.

Marywood's Eric LiPuma finished in 27th place in a time of 26:11 to lead the Pacers, who finished in 15th place out of the 22 teams competing Saturday at the Connecticut College Cross Country Invitational at Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford, Connectictut.

Dan Davis / FY / Keystone College / North Wales, PA / North Penn 
Davis placed third overall, and first among NCAA-eligible runners, at Saturday's Battle for the Buggy hosted by Elizabethtown College. The freshman ran a time of 21:41 in the 6K, finishing four seconds off the race winner, and two ticks back of the race runner-up, both of whom were members of Elizabethtown's Alumni team. The freshman's finish helped lead Keystone to a 3rd place overall finish, tops among the four CSAC teams in the event.

Stash Grab finished first, with a time of 13:40, in the Immaculata Invitational 4k, helping Immaculata finish second as a team.
