2001 PAC Women's Lacrosse Pre-Season Coaches' Poll
Cabrini Favored in PAC Womens Lacrosse
Dallas, PA- According to a pre-season coaches poll, nothing is expected to change this year in womens lacrosse in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference.
Defending champion Cabrini College is picked to repeat and the rest of the league is ranked in the exact order of finish from a year ago.
The Cavaliers earned five first-place votes and a total of 95 points to edge Neumann College. The Knights received four first-place votes and 90 points.
"It is a nice honor to be selected as the pre-season favorite in the PAC," said Cabrini head coach Jackie Neary. "But, there are a lot of good teams in this league. It should be a great season."
Eastern, 2000 runner-up, is ranked third with 85 points and received one first-place vote.
Cedar Crest is fourth with 66 points and Arcadia is next with 57. Rosemont was sixth with 47 points followed by Gwynedd-Mercy with 43.
Wesley is eighth at 34 points and Immaculata is picked ninth with 21 points. League newcomer Alvernia is ranked 10th with 12 points.
