PSU-BEHREND PICKED FIRST IN CSAC MEN'S TRACK AND FIELD COACHES' POLL
ASTON, Pa. – Penn State Behrend was the top pick of coaches in the 2018 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Preseason Coaches’ Poll, released by the conference office on Wednesday morning.
The Lions, who have won the last two championships, received 48 points and six first-place votes. Gwynedd Mercy University and Marywood tied for second with 34 points, with the Pacers receiving a first-place vote.
“It's an honor to be recognized by the coaches in our conference as being the favorites,” said PSU-Behrend head coach
Greg Cooper. “We have some shoes to fill from last season's team, but the women and men who compete for me make me excited that they can do just that.”
Keystone College was fourth with 32 points, followed by Franciscan University with 21 points in fifth. Immaculata University (16 points) and Neumann University (11 points) rounded out the poll.
Team will begin competing this weekend, with the 2018 CSAC Championship set for May 5-6, 2018, at Gwynedd Mercy University.

April 3, 2018
Grant Rodgers / So / Penn State Behrend / Oil City, Pa / (Track)
Broke the school and meet record in the 400 at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational with a time of 49.04. Also won the 200 with a time of 22.53 and was part of the 4x1 relay team with a time of a 44.05.
Hunter McDonnell / Jr / Franciscan University / (Field)
Broke the school record in the 400 hurdles (59.08), high jump (1.83m), and the triple jump (11.71m) at the Bethany College Invitational.
April 10, 2018
David Haines / FY / Marywood University / Madison Township, Pa / North Pocono (Track)
Won the 1500 at the Alvernia Invitational with a time of 4:11.96, and was first in the 5K with a time of 15:49.54.
Jake Kraycer / So / Marywood University / Peckville, Pa / Valley View (Field)
Won the hammer (130-3) and the discus (96-10) at Alvernia. Finished second in the javelin (142-0) and the shot put (41-5.75) as well.

At his home meet, Marrow took home a pair of top three results. He was second in the 400 at 51.69 and third in the 200 at 23.24. At Messiah, he lowered his time in the 200 to 23.16.
Jake Kraycer / So / Marywood University / Peckville, Pa / Valley View (Field)
Kraycer earned the top CSAC rank in the hammer and javelin at Moravian; he placed 18th in both events with throws of 136-11 and 155-4, respectively

CSAC Championship Info
GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – For the second time in the three year history of the meet, Gwynedd Mercy University will play host to the Colonial States Athletic Conference Track and Field Championships. The two-day meet will take place at the Griffin Complex, site of the first championship in 2016.
Since the championship started two years ago, Penn State Behrend has won the titles on both sides.
The Lions, along with host Gwynedd Mercy, Keystone, Marywood, Immaculata, Neumann and associate member Franciscan will start the action at 2 p.m. on Saturday with the multis.
A quick look at the field on the men’s side:
The sprints (100, 200, 400, 110 HH, 400H)
In the 100, PS-Behrend’s sophomore Kurt Eberhardt has the fastest time at 11.22, while Neumann freshman Khalil has an 11.28 and Keystone senior Yaw Acheampong has a 11.30.
In the 200, PS-Behrend sophomore Grant Rodgers has a 22.53, while teammate Eberhardt has a 22.58. Also look out for Gwynedd Mercy junior Rashid Marrow with a 22.72.
The 400 has Rodgers with the only sub-50 time, as he comes into the meet with a seed time of 48.62. Junior Devin Ross from PS-Behrend has a 50.80, followed by Marrow with a 50.93.
In the 110 hurdles, junior Colby Tarr has a 16.32 for PS-Behrend, while Eberhardt has a 16.77. Fellow Lion Marcus Haeseler has a 16.86. In the 400 hurdles, Franciscan sophomore Hunter McDonnell has a 57.25 seed time, with Rodgers at a 57.63 and PS-Behrend freshman Jeremy Spricher at a 57.93.
The distance (800, 1500, 5K, 10K, 3000 steeple)
In the 800, PS-Behrend senior Jarrod Lipsy has a 2:00.68 seed time, with Franciscan freshman Austen Duggan having a 2:01.08 seed time.
In the 1500, Franciscan freshman Liam Galligan has the best seed time at 4:04.97, followed by Marywood freshman David Haines at 4:05.22.
The 5k will feature Haines with a 14:59.39 and PS-Behrend freshman Zachary Wortman with a 15:29.05.
In the 10k, Haines comes in with a seed of 32:00.10, while Keystone’s Devin Smith has a 34:59.55.
In the steeple, Franciscan sophomore Nicholas Long has a seed of 9:48.34, with PS-Behrend senior Ian Griffith with a 10:24.46.
The jumps (Long, Triple, High, Pole Vault)
The high jump features PS-Behrend freshman Brady Smith with a seed of 2.00 meters, with Marywood sophomore Justin Stonier and Franciscan sophomore Hunter McDonnell each with a seed of 1.83 meters.
In the long jump, Marywood freshman Jefferson Fontaine has a seed of 6.48 meters, while Gwynedd Mercy freshman Chris Worthington has a seed of 6.38.
In the triple jump, Gwynedd Mercy sophomore Joe McCoy has a seed of 13.27, followed by Immaculata freshman Luke Iarkowskio at 12.79 meters.
In the pole vault, PS-Behrend freshman Jack Georgetson has a seed of 4.31 meters, followed by teammate Kevin Stebick at 4.26 meters.
The throws (Javelin, Hammer, Discus, Shot Put)
In the hammer, Marywood junior Matthew Collier has a seed of 43.43 meters, with sophomore Jake Kraycer with a 43.20.
In the javelin, PS-Behrend sophomore Ethan Rhodes has a seed of 53.49, while Kraycer has a 47.36.
The discus top seed is PS-Behrend freshman Matthew Michael with a seed of 40.14, follweod by Kraycer with a 35.83.
In the shot put, Michael has a top seed of 13.75, with Kraycer in second at 12.64.
A quick look on the women’s side:
The sprints (100, 200, 400, 100 HH, 400H)
In the 100 meters, the fastest seed time belongs to Gwynedd Mercy freshman Rainah Dunham with a 12.92, followed by PS-Behrend junior Haley Yenchik at 13.01.
In the 100 hurdles, Dunham has a seed time of 15.68, while Keystone senior Malley Bowen has a 16.65.
In the 200, Dunham has a 26.73 seed time, while Marywood sophomore Dekonti Sayeh has a 27.12.
In the 400, PS-Behrend senior Rachel Pell has a seed time of 59.37, while teammate Ashlyn Carlsson has a 1:01.25.
In the 400 hurdles, Pell has a time of 1:01.95, followed by Franciscan sophomore Janelle Lunde with a 1:10.69.
The distance (800, 1500, 5K, 10K, 3000 steeple)
In the 1500, PS-Behrend sophomore Jenna Shelton has a 4:53.71 seed time, while PS-Behrend freshman Savanna Carr has a 4:56.66.
In the 10k, the top seed time belongs to PS-Behrend Erica Koenig who has a 43:03.78, with Marywood freshman Ashleigh Clarke having a 43:18.23.
The 800 sees PS-Behrend sophomore Jenna Shelton with a seed time of 2:25.25, while Immaculata senior Jacqueline D’Amico has a 2:28.89.
In the steeple, PS-Behrend junior Courtney Sargent has a seed time of 12:00.45, followed by sophomore teammate Rebecca Worley with a 12:30.37.
In the 5k, Carr has a time of 18:17.46, while Shelton has a 18:25.95.
The jumps (Long, Triple, High, Pole Vault)
In the pole vault, PS-Behrend’s Yenchick has a seed of 3.61 meters, while teammate and sophomore Gabriella Loeffler has a 3.06 meters.
In the triple jump, Gwynedd Mercy’s Dunham has a seed of 11.73 while Marywood sophomore Lindsey Gladden has a 10.44 meter seed.
In the shot put, the top seed belongs to Gwynedd Mercy sophomore Chyanne Fine who has a 11.34, while Kaylee Ceci from Keystone has a 11.00 meter seed.
In the high jump, Gwynedd Mercy sophomore Sara Gray has a seed of 1.60 meters, while Immaculata senior Tara Liska has a 1.57.
In the long jump, Dunham has a 5.25 meter leap and the top seed, while Keystone senior Malley Bowen has a 5.06.
The throws (Javelin, Hammer, Discus, Shot Put)
In the hammer, Keystone’s Ceci has a 42.25 meter seed, while Marywood junior Mikaela Smith with a 40.36 meter.
In the javelin, Marywood sophomore Karly Kaminsky has a seed of 30.86, while Keystone senior Alexandra Myers has a seed of 30.00 meters flat.
In the discus, Fine has the top seed with a 34.64 meter toss, while PS-Behrend sophomore Myeisha Sanders has a 35.16 meter toss.
In the shot put, Fine has a top seed of 11.34 meters, with Ceci behind her at 11 meters flat.

GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – For the third straight year, the Lions of Penn State-Behrend captured the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Track and Field Championship, winning both the men’s and women’s title at the two-day championship hosted by Gwynedd Mercy.
The Lions, who have won the last two titles, finished with a team score of 282 on the men’s side and 246.5 on the women’s side.
Marywood University was second on both sides with 170.5 on the women’s side and 165 on the men’s side. Host Gwynedd Mercy was third in the women’s competition with a score of 135, while Keystone was third in the men’s competition at 101.
Marywood captured both CSAC major awards on the men’s side, as David Haines won the outstanding Track Performer and Jake Kraycer won the outstanding Field Performer. On the women’s side, PSU-Behrend’s Rachel Pell won the track Outstanding Performer, with Gwynedd Mercy’s Rainah Dunham winning the outstanding Field Performer.
Haines won the 1500 meters with a time of 4:03.06, the 5000 with a time of 15:58.72, the 10k with a time of 33:54.90 and was third in the Steeplechase with a time of 10:08.44.
Kraycer captured the javelin with a throw of 50.63 meters, was second in the shot put with a throw of 12.45 meters, and in the discus with a
throw of 34.66 meters and was also third in the hammer throw with a toss of 41.54.
Pell won the 400 meter dash with a time of 58.56, captured the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:07.54, was second in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.53 and second in the 200 meter dash at 26.21. She was also part of the winning 4x4 meter relay and was second in the 4x1 meter relay.
Finally, Dunham won the high jump at 1.55 meters, the long jump at 5.34 meters, the triple jump at 11.45 meters, was eighth in the javelin throw at 23.80 meters and 12
th in the shot put at 8.27 meters. She also won the 100 meter dash at 12.51, the 100 hurdles at 15.43, the 200 dash at 25.76 and was part of the winning 4x1 meter relay team.

CSAC HONORS OUTDOOR T&F COACHES OF THE YEAR AND ALL-CSAC TEAMS
ASTON, Pa.-- The Colonial States Athletic Conference has announced the winner of the 2018 Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Coaches of the Year, after a vote by the league's head coaches.

Greg Cooper was the coaches' choice for both the 2018 CSAC Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Coach of the Year awards. He won the award for the third straight season
Cooper's Lions captured the men's and women's team titles at the 2018 CSAC Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championship. The Lion women racked up 246.5 points while the men accumulated 282 points.
The CSAC all-sportsmanship team and all-conference teams also follow below. The all-sportsmanship team honorees were chosen by each team's head coach. The top three finishers in each event at the CSAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship meet earned first team, second team and honorable mention conference honors.
