GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its 2014 Women's Soccer All-Conference selections, with first, second and third team honors being awarded by position to a total of 33 student-athletes, as selected by the conference coaches.

The NEAC has also announced its individual award winners, as also selected by the conference coaches.  Penn State Berks swept the awards, starting with sophomore Dana Sarcinello (Downingtown, Pa.), who was chosen as the NEAC Player of the Year for the second straight time after another fantastic season for the Nittany Lions.  Sarcinello, who also named the NEAC Rookie of the Year last season, finished the regular season tied for the conference lead in goals with 19, with two being game winners, while also being fourth in assists (9) and third in points (47).  The midfielder scored at least one goal in 12 of the team's 18 contests on the year, including a career-high four goals early in the season. Sarcinello, who earned a NEAC Offensive Player of the Week selection during the season, also became Berks' all-time career leader in points (91), goals (37), and assists (17).

Penn State Berks senior Savannah Cramer (Wrightsville, Pa.) was named the NEAC Goalkeeper of the Year after also putting together a fantastic season for the Nittany Lions. Cramer started in the net for all 18 Nittany Lion contests this season, matching her career high in wins with a program-best 16 while also recording a school-record 13 shutouts on the year.  That mark led the conference, as did her save percentage (.842), goals-against average (0.59) and total goals allowed (9), while she also tallied 48 saves on the year.  Cramer, who earned the final NEAC Defensive Player of the Week honor that was awarded this past Monday, also notched her first career goal on a successful penalty kick conversion this past weekend.

Penn State Berks freshman Chrissy Smith (Honeybrook, Pa.) was selected as the NEAC Rookie of the Year after an excellent start to her collegiate career.  The forward was tied with Sarcinello for the conference lead in goals with 19, while also registering 10 assists and 48 points, which were both the second-most in the NEAC.  Smith, who earned a NEAC Offensive Player of the Week recognition earlier in the season, scored at least one goal in 10 contests, which included two game winners and a personal-best three scores in three different games.

Rounding out the individual awards for Berks was head coach Adrian Munteanu, who was selected by his peers as the NEAC Coach of the Year for the third straight season.  Munteanu led Berks to its third straight regular season championship after going a perfect 12-0 in NEAC play, while also matching the program record for overall wins with 16.  His squad also led all NEAC teams in goals (115) and assists (72) for the season, while currently leading the country in points (17.0 points per game) and placing second in the nation in scoring offense (6.44 goals per game).  His defending champion Nittany Lions will now be the host and top seed of the upcoming six-team NEAC Championship Tournament.
