The Lions gained entry to the Big Dance after winning the United East Championship title on Sunday with a 2-1 win over Penn State Berks. The squad, which also one the regular season title, will enter the NCAA Championship with a record of 12-4-4 and will bring an eight-game win streak with them.

It has been stingy defense that has helped get Harrisburg to this point as the team has allowed just 15 goals against this year. Delaney Shifflett has been a stalwart in goal for her squad, posting a conference-leading nine shutouts which also ranks as the ninth most in Division III.

United East Coach of the Year, Brandon West, has also jumped started his offense to help aid the defense. Rhyan Socash and Conference Championship MVP, Kylee Altland, are currently tied for the team lead in goals with eight this year. Helping facilitate those goals has been Katie Kosovac, whose seven assists is tied for the most in the conference.

McDaniel will be making its fourth ever appearance in the NCAA Championship, earning an automatic bid after defeating Franklin and Marshall in the Centennial Conference Championship Final. The Green Terror will bring a record of 17-1-1 into the tournament.

Joining those two teams in the pod will be Carnegie Mellon University (11-5-1) and Trine University (15-4-2).
