Penn College Wins First Ever Men's XC Title; LBC's Gray Crosses Finish Line First

LANGHORNE, Pa. - The 2023 United East Men’s Cross Country Championship took place Saturday afternoon on the campus of Cairn University. Penn College was named the overall team champions, the first time in program history for the Wildcats.

Mitchell Gray from Lancaster Bible was tabbed the Runner of the Year for the second-straight year as he crossed the finish line with a time of 27:51.4. Michael Wade from St. Mary’s College of Maryland was the runner up, clocking a time of 28:33.4. Mitchell Campbell rounded out the podium as he took third with a time of 28:44.1.

Gallaudet University’s Roberto Torres was named this year’s Rookie of the Year as the first year runner finished 13th with a time of 31:05.7 

Tom Leeser, head coach for Penn College, was named the Men’s Cross Country Coach of the Year.
