LATHAM, N.Y. - The United East saw a majority of its men’s cross country teams competing across two different regional races on Saturday. The Mid-Atlantic Regional in Newville, Pa. saw five United East teams competing while another three squads competed at the Metro Regional in Logan Township, N.J.

Penn State Abington’s Mason Kaminski had the best outing of the day as he claimed 26th out of 180 runners. The first year runner crossed the finish line in 25:48.8 which earned him All-Region honors.
Also showing some solid work at the Metro regional was the University of Valley Forge’s Paul Nadrowski and Nathaiel Gale who finished 110th and 111th, respectively.
At the Mid-Atlantic Regional, United East champions, Penn State Berks, had the best team finish as the Nittany Lions placed 22nd out of 31 teams. Trent Jordan paced the squad as he placed 90th in a field of 217 runners. St. Mary’s College of Maryland placed 24th as a team and Brendan Smoot was their lead runner as he came in 111th.
David Helms was the top finisher for the United East in the region placing 57th with a time of 27:03.75. That helped his Charger squad take 27th overall.
Penn College finished right behind them as a team, taking 28th. Holden Furey was their top finisher, taking 143rd with a time of 29:57.07.
