LATHAM, N.Y. - The United East crowned a pair of divisional winners in men’s soccer Wednesday evening. St. Mary’s College upset Penn State Harrisburg, 2-0, to earn the Volt Division title while Rosemont College outlasted Saint Elizabeth University in penalty kicks to earn Skye Division Champion honors.
These two sides will now square off on Saturday for a chance to be named United East Champions and earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship. That game will take place at Rosemont College.

After a scoreless first half, the Seahawks cracked the standstill courtesy of a Zack Glime goal in the 58th minute. Luke Duswalt registered the assist, his third of the season. St. Mary’s doubled its lead just under 20 minutes later as Lucca Mazzola tucked away an unassisted goal. Matthew Kopsidas came away with the clean sheet in goal, stopping all six Lions shots on target.

After an evenly keeled first half, Rosemont applied the pressure in the second half as they outshot the Eagles 19-2. The Ravens were unable to find the back of the net though, sending the game to extra periods. The top seed continued to pour on shots but the Saint Elizabeth keeper stood tall, knocking aside all six on target and sending the game to penalty kicks. It was then time for the Rosemont keeper to shine as he stopped all three of the Eagle attempts he faced, sealing up the Skye Division crown.
