Gallaudet Repeats as United East Women's Volleyball Champions

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The top-seeded Gallaudet University Bison dropped No. 2 Lancaster Bible College, 3-0 (25-16, 25-12, 26-24), in the United East Championship Final on Saturday evening. The victory marks the Bison second-straight conference title and also punches the team’s ticket to the NCAA Championship.

The United East champion Bison will learn who they will square off against in the Big Dance on Monday at 1:30 p.m.

The Gallaudet offense was on fire as the team finished the day hitting at a clip of .371. Brielle Worley was a major part of that attack as she finished the contest with 24 kills. Citrine Lummer was the other major contributor as she added 10 kills. Distributing the ball to those two was Ella Gamble, who racked up 38 assists to go along with her two service aces. Defensively, Jada Zarembka assisted on four of the team’s seven blocks.

Lancaster Bible was led by Lea Sareyka’s eight kills. In the back row, Leah Helman led all players with 20 digs.
