NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Gallaudet University women’s volleyball team concluded their season as the squad fell, 3-1, to Stevens Institute of Technology on Thursday afternoon. The Bison end their year with a record of 30-5 and the title of United East Champions.

Reigning United East Player of the Year, Brielle Worley, was the main source of offense for the Gallaudet team, posting a team-high 17 kills on the day. She had help from Cassidy Perry and Jada Zarembka, who both ended the match with seven kills. Distributing the ball was Ella Gamble as she collected 32 assists.
Another good portion of offense came at the service line as six players registered an ace. Ashlene Etkie finished with three of the team’s eight.
Defensively, Nicole Hicks led all Bison with 17 digs. At the net, Perry and Anya Pothorski both had a trio of block assists while Zarembka piled up a pair of solo denials.
