Offensive Player of the Week

Carpenter continued to show her early season dominance as she helped her Lions to a 1-1 record on the week. The transfer forward averaged a double-double across the two games, registering 17 points per game and 11 boards. Shooting 43% from the field, Carpenter piled up points from the charity stripe as well as she cashed in 14 of her 16 attempts. While not scoring herself, the Chester, Va. native did well to distribute as she recorded six assists.
Defensive Player of the Week

Lexow had a solid week for the Gallaudet women's basketball team that posted a 2-1 record. The sophomore guard finished the week with 50 points, 25 rebounds, 16 steals, 13 assists and eight blocked shots. Lexow scored a season-high 24 points on 10 of 16 shooting from the field (including two 3-pointers) in a home win over Russell Sage College last Friday. In that game, Lexow made four blocks, seven steals, passed out four assists and grabbed nine rebounds. Lexow just missed out on double-doubles in GU's two home wins over Trinity Washington University (14 pts., 9 rebs.) and Russell Sage (24 pts., 9 rebs.).
