LATHAM, N.Y. - The United East conference has announced its 2023-24 Women’s Basketball All-Conference Teams for the Volt Division. The All-Conference Teams are made up of six student-athletes on each team, with a First Team and a Second Team awarded for this season. Four major awards have been handed out including Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and Coach of the Year.
Six separate Volt Division institutions were represented across the two All-Conference teams. Gallaudet University led the way with three individuals named All-Conference. Penn State Harrisburg, Lancaster Bible College, St. Mary’s College of Maryland, and Penn State Abington each had two members on the First Team, respectively. Penn College was represented by one member on the teams.

Gallaudet University’s Cassidy Perry (Sr. / Frederick, Md.) has been named the 2023 United East Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year - Volt Division after the senior led the Bison to the most wins since the 2018-19 season, a 10-2 conference record, and a litany of personal accolades. Perry had 15 double-doubles during the regular season and is the No. 3 scorer in program history totaling over 1,700 career points, and is No. 2 in program history for career rebounds with over 1,050 boards across her career. Perry had a 25-point, 25-rebound game in January at Penn State Abington and averaged 20.1 points on 66.2% shooting and 14.5 rebounds per game in conference play. Perry’s 27 blocked shots in the 12 league games was good for 2nd in the United East while the 4.3 Assists per Game average ranked her 6th in the league. Perry was named United East Player of the Week seven separate times this season as well as the D3hoops.com Team of the Week for January 8, 2024.
Olivia Liszt (FY / Baltimore, Md.) has been named Rookie of the Year after an impactful first season for St. Mary’s College of Maryland, averaging 12.2 points and 5.0 rebounds per game while knocking down 52 Three-Pointers over the year. Additionally, Liszt started 16 out of the 25 games and had 14 blocks and 30 steals to go with 34 assists. Her 14.9 points per game average in conference play ranked 15th in the United East and her 2.5 Three-Point Field Goals per Game led the league. Liszt had a season-high 24 points with 8 field goals made, including 5 Three-Pointers, in the February 14th matchups at Penn State Abington.
Stephanie Stevens has been named Coach of the Year after guiding the Gallaudet University team to a 10-2 league record, 17-8 overall record, and a second-place finish in the Volt Division. The 17 wins is the most since the 2018-19 season. In conference play, the Bison led the league in Field Goal Percentage, shooting 48% as a team, Free Throw Percentage, shooting 71.6% as a team, and Assists, handing out 22.17 assists per game. This is the third Coach of the Year honor for Stevens, who previously won in 2019 and 2022.
