Five United East Women’s Basketball Programs Earn WBCA Academic Recognition

ATLANTA – Five United East Conference women’s basketball programs earned special-mention recognition on the 2025-26 Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll, the organization announced on July 21.

The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes women’s basketball programs across the country with the highest combined team grade-point averages in their respective divisions. To qualify for recognition, a team must post a combined GPA of at least 3.0 and be nominated by a head coach who is a WBCA member.

Cedar Crest College led the United East honorees with a 3.700 team GPA. Penn College followed with a 3.589 GPA, while Penn State Harrisburg and Gallaudet University recorded GPAs of 3.573 and 3.567, respectively. St. Mary’s College of Maryland rounded out the conference’s honorees with a 3.401 GPA.

All five programs were recognized as special mentions within the NCAA Division III category. The 2025-26 academic year marked the 31st season in which the WBCA compiled its Academic Top 25 Team Honor Rolls.
