Wildcats Punch Ticket to Men's Lax Final with Win Over Keystone

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - The second-seeded Penn College men’s lacrosse team will head to the United East Championship Final for the first time since 2021, defeating No. 3 Keystone College, 22-9, Wednesday evening in the semifinal match up. WIth the win, the Wildcats improve to 10-8 on the season.

The home side used an early lead to help distance themselves from the competition. Penn College netted 10 goals in the first quarter while also shutting out their opponent. The run extended to 13-0 in the second stanza before Keystone netted a pair to stop the Wildcats. The score would remain 13-2 going into halftime.

Keystone bookended the halftime with another two goals to cut the deficit to nine but three quick goals by Penn College maintained the distance. The lead would be too large to overcome as the WIldcats secured the victory on their home turf.

Aj Dotson was on fire for Penn College, scoring six goals on the evening including four during that opening run. Jake Small and Aidan McFalls also pitched in as both finished the contest with a hat trick.

Mason Nester headed the defense for the Wildcats, causing a turnover and scooping six groundballs. Alex Hammond would get the credit for the win in net, stopping four Giant shots and only allowing one goal through 25 minutes of action.

Abe Wallace was a bright spot on the Keystone squad as the attacker registered a team-high five goals. Keystone finishes its year with a record of 6-10.
