Baseball 5/19/2024 6:15:00 PM Penn State Harrisburg Season Concludes at NCAA Baseball Regionals HARRISBURG, Pa. - No. 14 Penn State Harrisburg saw its season end on Sunday morning after a 6-5 defeat to Elizabethtown College in an elimination game. Looking to bounce back after last night’s defeat to Randolph-Macon College, the Nittany Lions fought back from an early 3-0 deficit with four runs in the top of the 5th innings to take a 4-3 lead. However, the Blue Jays scored three in the bottom of the 5th to take a 6-4 lead that would not be relinquished. Harrisburg added one run in the ninth inning and had the tying run on 2nd base, but couldn’t get that final hit to tie the game. Dallas Hite went 4-for-5 with an RBI on the day. Carlos Irizarry, Kevin Lehner, and Braeden Piotrowski each had two hits. Aidan Bergholc got the start on the mound, going 3 innings while Christian Lubic II picked up the loss after five hits and five earned runs in 1.2 innings pitched. Elizabethtown moves on to the regional championship against Randolph-Macon College while Harrisburg finishes the season 35-11.
