LATHAM, N.Y. - Entering the United East postseason, Penn State Harrisburg (12-5-3, 8-0-0) women’s soccer sits at No. 8 in the Region IV Rankings as put out by the United Soccer Coaches (USC) on Tuesday afternoon. This marks the second-straight week the Lions have sat in the eighth spot.

It was a solid week for the Lions who captured their second-consecutive women’s soccer regular season title. The squad had just a single contest, defeating Lancaster Bible College, 7-0, to keep their conference record unblemished on the season.
Wrapping up the regular season, the Lion defense was outstanding, not allowing a single goal and only three shots on target in United East play. Kara Slavin and Mackenzie Mowery helped create that stat as the two defenders won back-to-back United East Defensive Players of the Week.
Top-seeded Harrisburg will begin its quest to defend the conference title on Saturday as the team hosts the winner of the No. 9 Cairn University vs No. 8 Wilson College contest occurring on Wednesday. That game time is still to be determined.
