United East Releases Men's Soccer All-Conference & Major Awards

LATHAM, Pa. - The United East Conference has released its All-Conference Teams and Major Award winners in the sport of Men’s Soccer. All three All-Conference teams are made up of three forwards, four midfielders, four defenders, one goalie and two at-large selections. Additionally, the conference has named its Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Coach of the Year.

Player of the Year - Andrew Cox (Lancaster Bible College)

Defensive Player of the Year - Jack Nelson (St. Mary’s College of Maryland)

Rookie of the Year - Justin Crismale (Penn College)

Coach of the Year - Alun Oliver (St. Mary’s College of Maryland)

Since being named Rookie of the Year in 2022, Cox has been a star on the pitch and this season was no different. The midfielder was a contributor in all offensive aspects, registering a league-leading 33 points on the season (which also ranks 32nd in all of Division III). Of those points, 13 were goals which rank 40th in the country and three of those counted as game-winning scores. Cox also added seven assists which was tied for first amongst United East players. The Sinking Spring, Pa. native notched a hat trick three separate times this season, including a 11-point performance as he tacked on a pair of assists in a win over Gallaudet.

Nelson anchored a defense that played a large role in the Seahawks earning a Regular Season title for the second time in as many years. The senior helped negate the best offensive threats on opposing teams and was part of a unit that only allowed three goals against in conference play. He’d also aide in the seven shutouts the Seahawks produced. Despite being featured as a defender, Nelson also notched five goals and three assists this season.

Crismale showed no signs of timidness in his rookie season, getting the start in goal for 18 of the 20 games this season. He’d post seven shutouts on the year which led the conference and ranked 32nd in the nation. His goals-against average was just a tick above one (1.09) while his save percentage was at 75.9%. He’d pile up 60 saves on the year, none more impressive than his six-save performance in the Wildcats upset victory over the top-seeded Seahawks in the United East Championship semifinal. Crismale was tabbed the United East Defensive Player of the Year on October 6, 2025.

It was another tremendous season for the Seahawks who entered their 15th season under head coach Alun Oliver. Oliver guided them to their second-straight Regular season title, boasting a spotless record of 8-0-0. Under his guidance, the Seahawks ranked 33rd in the country in scoring offense (2.55 goals-per-game) and 24th in total goals (51). Oliver’s efforts led to nine St. Mary’s College players earning All-Conference honors including Nelson who was tabbed the Defensive Player of the Year.
