LATHAM, N.Y. - The 2025 United East Women’s Volleyball Championship Final is set as the pair of semifinal matchups were completed on Tuesday evening. The top two seeds both won in straight sets with #1 Penn State Harrisburg topping #5 Cairn University and #2 St. Mary’s College of Maryland defeating #3 Lancaster Bible College.

No. 1 Penn State Harrisburg def. No. 5 Cairn University 3-0 (25-9, 25-13, 25-12) | (BOX SCORE)
The offense was working on all cylinders for the top seed in the tournament as the Lions dropped Cairn, 3-0. Harrisburg racked up 13 aces and maintained a hitting percentage of .453 which was the second highest this season. Everyone was eating for the home squad as eight players registered a kill including a team-high 12 from Camryn Wettstone. Hannah DeGregory was swinging well too as she collected nine kills to go along with four aces and 13 assists. Mackenzy Miller was the lead distributor of the ball as she piled up 21 helpers on the evening.
Freshman standout Marah Lehman had a solid outing for the Highlanders, registering a game-leading 13 kills. Bella Manthe finished the match with 13 assists.

This was a tight match as all three sets came down to the wire. St. Mary’s College held the slight advantage offensively though, posting a hitting percentage of .189 on the evening and collecting nine service aces. Sanaa Porter did a little of everything from the middle, recording a team-leading 14 kills to go along with three blocks (two solo). Maya Mauro also chipped in as she registered 13 kills. Setting duties were split nearly even for the Seahawks with Camilla Galeano and Arielle Lubeck ending the match with 22 and 20 assists, respectively.
Defensively, Stella Marrero was all over the court as she finished with 17 digs. At the service line, Vlada Costenco had five service aces.
The Chargers battled as seven different players recorded a kill. Lea Sareyka and Madison Reap led the way with seven apiece. Madeline Reed and Tessa Kwiatkowski shared the setting role as they ended with 12 and 11 assists, respectively. In the back row, Madison Timberlake led the squad with 15 digs.
