United East Athletes of the Week - November 17, 2025

LATHAM, N.Y. - The United East conference has announced its Athletes of the Week for November 17, 2025.  Today will include Players of the Week from Men's and Women's Basketball.

This week’s selections included contests through Sunday, November 16.  A total of four student-athletes from four different member institutions were recognized for their performances.
 

Women’s Basketball

Offensive Player of the Week
Breana Valentine / SO / Penn College / Fairfield, Pa. / Fairfield

Valentine continued her season-opening dominance averaging 16.5 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and three steals to propel the Wildcats to their best start in the program's NCAA history. Valentine scored a game-high 18 points on 8-11 (73%) shooting, grabbed a team-high six rebounds and added three steals in a 66-38 victory against Penn State Mont Alto. She poured in 15 points and a career-high 16 rebounds to post her second double-double of the season in a 77-34 victory at Pitt-Bradford on Saturday. Valentine also added five assists and three steals in Saturday's win.

This is the second weekly accolade in Valentine's career, with her first selection coming last week.


Defensive Player of the Week
Chelcie Forrester / SR / Wilson College / Shippensburg, Pa. / Shippensburg

Forrester was a force on the glass in three games for the Phoenix. She recorded double-figures in rebounds all three games and has now done so in all four games to start the season. Forrester opened with a dozen in an overtime game at Bryn Mawr before pulling in 10 in limited minutes against Trinity Washington. She added another 10 as Wilson gave Shenandoah a scare and helped the Phoenix out-rebound the Hornets in the process. Defensively she added five steals on the week with three against Shenandoah.

This is Forrester's first ever weekly accoalde.
 

Men’s Basketball

Offensive Player of the Week
Connor Storr / JR / Lancaster Bible College / Galloway, N.J. / The Pilgrim Academy

Storr played a large roll in his team's week as he helped the Chargers to a record of 2-0. The junior racked up 18 points in the weekend's first win over Geneva before putting up 20 in the victory over Grove City the following day. Storr shot at a clip of 48.5% from the field while going 80% from the charity stripe. He'd tack on five assists to the statline as he collected  the Tournament Most Valuable Player award.

This is the first weekly accolade of the season for Storr and his third all time (02/03/25, 02/05/24).




Defensive Player of the Week
Tamir Powell / JR / Penn State Abington / Philadelphia, Pa. / Lincoln

In four games last week, junior Tamir Powell averaged 4.75 rebounds per game to go along with 1.75 blocks per game while totaling 8.25 points per contest.  Powell highlighted the week with a season-high four blocks and a steal against Delaware Valley while scoring 12 points against the Aggies. 

This is Powell's first ever weekly accoalde.
