After earning All-Region and All-District honors by both D3hoops.com and the NABC, Hurst becomes the first All-American in men’s basketball since Penn State Harrisburg’s Donyae Baylor Carroll was named to the Second Team in 2024. Hurst really took a leadership role for the Chargers this season, helping the squad earn the top spot in the postseason. A scoring machine, the junior has recorded 208 made field goals this year (11th in the country) for a total of 558 points (23rd in the country). His 21.5 points-per-game rank first in the conference and 38th in Division III. Consistency is key as he has scored double-digits in all 26 games this year, has hit the 20-point mark 19 times and the 30-point mark twice. His attention to defense has served him well too, racking up a league-leading 54 steals this season. This year, Hurst collected Offensive Player of the Week honors five separate times while also earning United East Player of the Year and All-Conference First Team honors.
