Defensive Player of the Year - Madison Timberlake (Lancaster Bible College)
Rookie of the Year - Marah Lehman (Cairn University)

It should come as no surprise that Worley has been named the United East Player of the Year for the second time in as many seasons. The junior’s offense has been unmatched as her 509 kills on the season top the entire country. Worley hit at a league-leading hitting percentage of .320 while racking up the most points in all of Division III (580.5). She also got things done from the service line as her 52 aces were the sixth most in the United East. This year, the Amarillo, Texas native recorded double-digit kills in 27 of her 30 matches played, hitting the 20+ kill mark nine times. Twice she piled up 30 kills this season, including in a win over Regionally-ranked Stevens Institute of Technology. This year, Worley was tabbed the United East Offensive Player of the Week on four separate occasions.
For the fourth-straight season, a Charger libero was tabbed the conference’s Defensive Player of the Year with Madison Timberlake earning her first this year. The senior topped the United East with her 479 total digs and her 4.89 digs-per-set ranked second. Timberlake accrued double-digit digs in 25 contests this season and hit 20+ digs 11 times. One of her top outings came in a five-set thriller against Penn State Harrisburg as she piled up a career-best 29 digs. She’d also pitch in offensively a bit as she recorded 82 assists and 38 aces. Timberlake was also named the United East Defensive Player of the Week four times.
Lehman was a large contributor to the Cairn success this season, showing off her offensive prowess in her first season. The rookie was extremely efficient posting the second best kills-per-set with 3.68. That helped Lehman rack up 309 kills on the season which was the third-most in the United East. In the Highlander’s 25 matches this year, Lehman totaled double-digit kills in 18 of them. One of her top outings came in a crucial win over Penn State Abington as she picked up a season-best 22 kills at a clip of .436,
For the third time in as many years, Coach Lynn Ray Boren led his Bison to a perfect conference record (10-0) and a Regular Season title. Offense was in heavy supply on the Gallaudet court as their .285 hitting percentage topped the nation. The team also got things done at the service line, posting 323 aces on the season which ranks sixth in Division III. The team put up a record of 24-6 on the year, which was helped by a 16-1 record to finish off the season. Boren’s efforts helped get five of his players named to the All-Conference teams as well as the Player of the Year.
