LATHAM, N.Y. - The United East conference has announced its Athletes of the Week for December 2, 2025. Today will include Players of the Week from Men's and Women's Basketball.
This week’s selections included contests through Sunday, December 7. A total of four student-athletes from four different member institutions were recognized for their performances.
Men’s Basketball
Offensive Player of the Week
Corey Baldwin / GR / Cairn University / Hednerson, N.C. / Vance
Corey Baldwin put together an impressive week to open conference play, starting with 26 points in the conference opener against Keystone, knocking down four shots from behind the arc. He followed up Saturday at Wilson with 21 points, hitting four deep shots as well while dishing out 7 assists, 4 steals, and grabbing 13 boards for his second double-double of the year. Baldwin continues to lead the conference in rebounding (8.8 rpg) and three-point makes (28).
This is Baldwin's second weekly accolade of his career (11/10/25).
Defensive Player of the Week
Camden Hurst / JR / Lancaster Bible College / Lancaster, Pa. / Lancaster Mennonite
Hurst was instrumental in helping the Chargers go 2-0 on the week, picking up a conference victory in the process.The junior put the clamps on his opposition, collecting four steals in both contests. He'd also pick up blocked shot in the win over Penn State Berks. His defense was aided by some terrific offense as he averaged 26.5 points over the two contests.
This is Hurst's first ever weekly accoalde.
Women’s Basketball
Offensive Player of the Week
Gigi Parlante / SO / Penn College / Williamsport, Pa. / St. John Neumann
Parlante averaged 21.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists in two victories for the Wildcats. In the conference opener against Penn State Abington, Parlante nearly scored a double-double with 17 points on 7-for-12 shooting and nine boards. She also added two assists and one block in a 61-58 win. On Saturday, Parlante recorded her fourth double-double and led the Wildcats in scoring (26 points), rebounds (10), assists (7) and steals (4) in an 81-34 win. For the week, Parlante shot 72% (18-25) and 77% (7-for-9) from the free throw line while grabbing eight offensive rebounds and 11 defensive boards.
This is Parlante's second weekly of the season and her fifth of her career (12/01/25, 02/17/25, 12/23/24, 12/02/24, 11/11/24)
Defensive Player of the Week
Chloe Irving / SO / Wilson College / Martinsburg, W.V. / Martinsburg
Irving crashed the boards hard this past week as she averaged nine rebounds per game. She pulled down five boards and made four steals to help Wilson defeat Penn State Harrisburg for just the second time in program history and followed up with 13 caroms in just 14 minutes with another steal against Cairn on Saturday. The baker's dozen matched a career high set last year against Penn State Brandywine and gave her just her second double-double despite being a primary sixth-woman for the Phoenix on Saturday.
This is Irving's first ever weekly accoalde.
