LATHAM, N.Y. - The 2025 Men’s Basketball Championship concluded its semifinal round with two thrilling contests including top-seeded Bryn Athyn College defeating Penn College, 96-91, in overtime and #6 Notre Dame of Maryland University upsetting #2 Penn State Harrisbrg, 83-61. The Lions and Gators will now square off for the United East crown on Saturday. Tip-off for that game will be at 1 PM on the campus of Bryn Athyn College.

The Gators ignored their seeding in this contest, breaking out the offense early and maintaining a steady lead throughout the duration of the contest. Notre Dame went on a 17-4 run to start the contest and took a 43-20 lead into the halftime intermission. All five of the away team starters finished with double-digit scoring led by Dylan Long’s 16 points. Chandler Johnson had a solid outing as well, dishing out six assists to go along with 10 points.
On the Lions side, Isaiah Eggelston was just one board shy of a double-double as he ended the night with 15 points and nine rebounds. He also turned away three Gator shots. Penn State Harrisburg concludes its year with a record of 18-9.

This game had all of the action as it featured 16 ties and 14 lead changes. No tie was bigger than with five seconds left and Penn College down two, Gavin Barrett nailed two from the charity stripe to send it into overtime. In the extra stanza, it was Jakir Hampton who lit the fireworks, hitting a crucial 3-pointer late in the shot clock to put the Lions up two with just 30 seconds left. The Wildcats cut it to a 92-91 lead but four-straight free throws from Hampton would seal the victory for the top seed.
Bryn Athyn only played seven guys with five of them hitting double-digit scoring. The overtime hero, Hampton, led all Lion scorers with 27 on the night. Jalen Parker was just two assists shy of the triple-double as he had 19 points, 10 boards and eight dimes.
For the Wildcats, Livingston Cross and Gavin Barrett demonstrated tremendous offense as they recorded 30 and 27 points, respectively. Penn College will end their season with a record of 10-17.
