Lexow has turned in a tremendous senior season that has come with plenty of recognition. The United East Defensive Player of the Year, Lexow was a lockdown defender as her total steals and blocks rank in the top-15 in all of Division III. Her 94 steals currently rank 12th, picking the pocket of her opponents in all but one game this year. She dominated underneath the hoop as well, with her 65 blocks rankings 15th in the country. This season, the Abington, Pa. native has piled up 18 multi-block games. Her talents weren’t just on the defensive side as she also ranked top-5 in the conference in both total points and total assists. Lexow averaged 14.9 points and 3.4 assists per game which helped spur a powerful Gallaudet offense.
Most recently, Lexow earned the honors of being a Jostens Trophy Finalist, which is awarded to the outstanding NCAA Division III men’s and women’s basketball players who excel on the court, in the classroom, and in the community. This year, Lexow collected First Team All-Conference honors to match her Defensive Player of the Year nod. She was also tabbed the conference’s Defensive Player of the Week twice and the Offensive Player of the Week once.
The big man did a bit of everything for the Lions this season, bringing home Harrisburg’s second-straight Player of the Year award. Eggleston was a walking bucket as his 17.8 points-per-game ranked fourth in the conference and his 481 total points ranked third. Scoring seemed to come easy for the Roanoke, Va. native as he shot at a clip of 50.5 from the field (second in the United East). Eggleston also was a big paint presence for Harrisburg, totaling 48 blocks and 191 boards which ranked 2nd and eighth in the conference, respectively.
