KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A pair of United East men’s soccer teams earned the Team Academic Award from the United Soccer Coaches (USC) for their performance in the classroom during the 2024 season. Notre Dame of Maryland University and Penn College both earned the distinction.

In order to receive the award, a team must have posted a team GPA of a 3.0 or higher across the 2024-25 academic year. The Gators clocked a 3.31 GPA while the Wildcats excelled with a 3.15.

The two squads also found success on the field as both squads earned a spot in the 2024 postseason. Penn College captured the six seed, going 5-1-2 in conference action while Notre Dame took the ninth seed with a 3-5-0 conference record.
