Women’s Cross Country

Runner of the Week
Clarisse Hayden / JR / Cairn University / Bangkok, Thailand / International Community School

Last year's Runner of the Year is keeping pace in 2025 as she topped the field at the United East Championship Preview hosted by Penn State Brandywine on Friday. The junior crossed the finishline at 24:47.72, which was roughly 15 seconds faster than the next runner. Her time was the best among the 75 runners competing and helped the Highlanders to a third place team finish.

This is the first Runner of the Week award of the season for Hayden and her sixth accolade of her career (9/3/24, 9/10/24, 9/17/24, 9/24/24, 10/1/24)

Men’s Cross Country

Runner of the Week
Sevan Ikeda / FR / Gallaudet University / Fremont, Calif. / California School for the Deaf

Ikeda has continued to show off his wheels in his first year with the Bison, most recently taking second overall (and first amongst United East runners) at the United East Championship Preview hosted by Penn State Brandywine on Friday. The Fremont, Calif. native crossed the finishline at 28:19.53 which was 10 seconds faster than the next closest runner and good enough for silver in a race with 100 competitor.

This is Ikeda's second career United East weekly accolade with his first coming on 9/1/25.

Men’s Golf

Golfer of the Week
Peyton Moyer / SR / Penn State Berks / Barto Pa. / Boyertown

Last season's Rookie of the Year has come out swinging in the new year, earning the first weekly accolades of 2025-26. Moyer opened up the season on Sunday at the Ursinus Invitational where he shot a 71 (+1) in the opening round. His score put him in second in a field of 45 golfers. One day later, he chalked a 73 (+3) which gave him a +4 on the tournament. This score would be good enough to hold down second place overall.

This is Moyer's first career United East weekly accolade.
