LATHAM, N.Y. – The field is officially set for the 2026 United East Conference Field Hockey Championship following the conclusion of regular-season competition on Saturday afternoon. Six teams have earned a spot in this year's postseason tournament, which is set to begin on Tuesday, October 27.
Penn State Harrisburg claimed the top seed in the championship after finishing conference play with a perfect 6-0 record. Defending conference champion St. Mary's College of Maryland secured the second seed with a 5-1 conference mark. Both teams will receive first-round byes and advance directly to the semifinals on Saturday, October 31.
Lancaster Bible College, Immaculata University, and Wilson College all finished conference play with identical 3-3 records, creating a three-way tie for third place. The Chargers earned the No. 3 seed by virtue of their goal differential in games amongst tied teams and will host sixth-seeded Cedar Crest College in the opening round. Immaculata secured the No. 4 seed following its head-to-head victory over Wilson during the regular season. The Mighty Macs will host the fifth-seeded Phoenix in the other first-round matchup on Tuesday, October 27.
Top-seeded Penn State Harrisburg will host the winner of the No. 4 versus No. 5 matchup, while second-seeded St. Mary's College of Maryland will welcome the winner of the No. 3 versus No. 6 contest in the semifinals on Saturday, October 31.
The two semifinal winners will advance to the United East Championship Final on Saturday, November 7, with the higher-seeded team serving as host. The championship winner will earn the conference's automatic qualifying bid to the NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championship.
Penn State Harrisburg, last season's championship runner-up, enters the tournament as the top overall seed after an impressive conference campaign in which the Lions outscored their opponents 23-1. Alysa McCarthy led the United East with nine goals in conference play, while goalkeeper Macenzie Mulholland anchored the defensive effort, allowing just one goal against conference opponents and posting an .889 save percentage.
Defending champion St. Mary's College of Maryland enters the postseason as the No. 2 seed after scoring 25 goals against conference opponents. Josie Mascolo paced the Seahawks' offense with six goals in conference play, helping St. Mary's secure a first-round bye.
Lancaster Bible College enters the championship following its winningest season since the program was reinstated in 2018. The Chargers were led offensively by Riley Danko, who scored five goals in conference play and helped Lancaster Bible secure the No. 3 seed.
Immaculata University earned the fourth seed after winning three of its final four conference contests. The Mighty Macs were led by Alexis Andrada, who recorded eight goals against United East opponents, helping Immaculata secure a home game in the opening round.
