Stage Set for 2026 United East Women's Volleyball Championship

LATHAM, N.Y. – The field is officially set for the 2026 United East Conference Women's Volleyball Championship following the conclusion of regular-season competition. Eight teams have secured their spots in this year's postseason tournament, with quarterfinal action scheduled for Saturday, November 7.

Defending conference champion St. Mary's College of Maryland claimed the top seed after completing conference play with a perfect 10-0 record. Last season's runner-up, Penn State Harrisburg, secured the No. 2 seed with a 9-1 conference mark. Gallaudet University and Lancaster Bible College both finished conference play with identical 8-2 records, with the Bison earning the No. 3 seed by virtue of their head-to-head victory over the Chargers during the regular season. Lancaster Bible secured the No. 4 seed, while Cairn University, Penn State Brandywine, Penn State Berks, and Penn State Abington rounded out the eight-team championship field.

The quarterfinal round will feature top-seeded St. Mary's College of Maryland hosting eighth-seeded Penn State Abington, while second-seeded Penn State Harrisburg welcomes seventh-seeded Penn State Berks. Third-seeded Gallaudet University will host sixth-seeded Penn State Brandywine, while fourth-seeded Lancaster Bible College will square off against fifth-seeded Cairn University.

The four quarterfinal winners will advance to the semifinal round on Wednesday, November 11, with the two highest remaining seeds serving as hosts. The semifinal winners will meet in the United East Championship Final on Saturday, November 14, with the highest remaining seed hosting the contest.

St. Mary's (Md.) secured the top overall seed behind a balanced offensive attack that produced 440 kills during conference play. Julia Bobrowski led the Seahawks' offense with 83 kills against league opponents, while Stella Marrero anchored the defense with 148 digs in conference action.

Penn State Harrisburg claimed the No. 2 seed behind the offensive duo of Camryn Wettstone and Brianna Ondishin Ribon, who combined for 230 kills during conference play. The pair played a key role in guiding the Lions to a 9-1 conference record and the opportunity to host a quarterfinal matchup.

Gallaudet secured the No. 3 seed behind the impressive offensive production of Brielle Worley, who led the United East with 196 kills in conference play. Defensively, Tori Harris paced the Bison with 148 digs against league opponents, helping Gallaudet secure a home quarterfinal contest.

Lancaster Bible earned the fourth and final hosting position for the quarterfinal round behind an offense led by Lea Sareyka, who recorded 96 kills during conference play. At the net, Samantha Hey provided a strong defensive presence, leading the conference with 31 total blocks against league opponents.
