LATHAM, N.Y. - The United East Softball Championship final four is now set after the completion of the quarterfinals series.
Penn State Brandywine, Wilson College and Penn College all earned their victories on home turf, while Penn State Harrisburg sprung the road upset. These four teams will now square off in a double-elimination tournament next weekend to determine the United East Champion.

#1 Penn State Brandywine vs. #9 Cedar Crest College
Game 1: #1 Penn State Brandywine def. #9 Cedar Crest College, 8-0 (5 Innings) (Box Score)
Penn State Brandywine jumped out to an early lead in the opening game of their series with Cedar Crest College, plating five runs in the bottom of the second inning. The offensive outburst was led by three RBI doubles by Jordan DuBois, Lexi Bussenger and Kaylee Mushinski. The Nittany Lions tacked on three more runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, highlighted by an RBI triple by Emma McElroy.
Meanwhile, April Lewandowski was dominant in the circle, throwing a five-inning no hitter, striking out 10 of the 15 batters she faced. Brandywine held an eight-run lead after five innings, securing the mercy-rule victory.
Game 2: #1 Penn State Brandywine def. #9 Cedar Crest College, 13-1 (5 Innings) (Box Score)
Brandywine wasted now time grabbing control of game two, erupting for nine runs in the first inning. The Nittany Lions early rally was capped off by a three-run triple by Mushinki. Shelby DeCillis belted a solo home run to left field to lead off the second inning, starting another rally that resulted in four more runs. Cedar Crest would manage to plate one run in the top of the third inning, but could not close the gap, falling 13-1 in five innings.
The Nittany Lions offense was led by Mushinski who went 3-3 with five RBIs. In the circle, Isabella Hurta earned the win, allowing one run on two hits while striking out five Falcons.
#2 Wilson College vs. #7 Penn State Berks
Game 1: #2 Wilson College def. #7 Penn State Berks, 8-4 (Box Score)
Wilson College took an early lead in the opening game of their series with Penn State Berks, scoring in both the bottom of the first and second innings to build a 2-0 lead. After Berks plated a run in the top of the third inning, the Phoenix took control of the game. Sydney Hartle and Madison Briggs launched doubles to left field, driving in a combine three RBIs to build a 5-1 lead. Caitlin Oliviero laid down a sacrifice bunt, allowing another run to score. Wilson then capitalized on a Berks error, pushing their lead to six.
Berks tried to battle back in the top of the fouth inning. Maura Gorman singled to third base, plating a run for the Nittany Lions. After another run scored on a groundout by Shayna Morales, Haylie Mauger slapped a single past second base, driving in a third run to cut the deficit down to 7-4. Wilson College responded, tacking on a run in the bottom of the fourth on a double by Samantha Rybacki. Berks could not get another rally going, as Wilson earned the 8-4 victory.
Elena Worthington earned the win for the Phoenix, pitching 6.0 innings allowing one run on five hits while striking out four. Wilson's offense was led by Briggs who went 3-4 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored.

The Phoenix jumped in front early in game two, scoring in the bottom of hte first inning. After trading an out for a run earlier in the inning, Kayla Talbert doubled to center field, driving in a run an giving Wilson a 2-0 lead. The Phoenix added another run in the third inning off a double by Hartle. Wilson then put the game out of reach in the fourth inning, plating five runs on five hits including a 2 RBI triple by Kiera O'Brine. Berks was held to only two hits and could not extend the game by scoring in the top of the fifth inning, falling 8-0.
In the circle, Wilson's Julia Wilkes pitched 3.2 innings, allowing only one hit and earning the win. The Phoenix's offense was led by Hartle who went 2-3 with two doubles and three RBIs.
#3 Penn College vs. #6 Penn State Abington
Game 1: #3 Penn College def. #6 Penn State Abington, 3-2 (Box Score)
Penn College struck first in game one of their series with Penn State Abington, scoring in the bottom of the third inning. The Wildcats placed runners on second and third base, when Carissa Lusk hit a ground ball on the right side, plating the first run of the game. Later in the inning, Payton Crawford used a hard-hit ground ball to plate the second run of the inning.
Abington answered back, scoring in the top of the fifth inning. Emily Foxhill blasted an RBI double into right center, cutting the Lions deficit down to one. Penn College responded, scoring a run in the bottom of the inning when Taylor Brown lined an RBI double in left center field, making the score 3-1. Abington made one final push, scoring a run in the top of the seventh inning, but could not tie the game, falling 3-2.
In the circle for Penn College, Mackenzi Tice earned her 19th win of the season, pitching 7.0 innings, allowing two runs on three hits while striking out 15 Lions.
Game 2: #3 Penn College def. #6 Penn State Abington, 5-4 (Box Score)
Abington got off to a fast start in game two of their doubleheader, scoring three runs in the top of the first inning. Tori Colagreco got the scoring started by hammering a double into center field. She would later score on a sacrifice fly by Candice Peck.
The Wildcats responded plating a run in the bottom of the third inning when Crawford doubled to left field. Abington immediately answered back when Lainey Scotese singled into center field to give the Lions a 4-1 lead.
Penn College began the climb back in the bottom of the fifth inning. Crawford launched an RBI triple into right field, cutting the deficit down to two. Brown then brought home Crawford with a double to center field. The Wildcats struck again in the bottom of the sixth with pinch runner Addison Detweiler scoring on a throwing error to level the score at four. Later in the inning with a runner on third, Lusk executed a squeeze bunt, that allowed Tice to score the go-ahead run.
Tice earned her second win of the day, holding Abington to four runs on four hits while striking out three. At the plate, Crawford went 3-4 with a double and a triple while driving in two runs.
#4 Lancaster Bible College vs. #5 Penn State Harrisburg
Game 1: #5 Penn State Harrisburg def. #4 Lancaster Bible College, 10-1 (5 Innings) (Box Score)
Penn State Harrisburg plated the first runs of their first matchup of the day with Lancaster Bible College, scoring in the third inning. Aspen Walker got the scoring started by knocking an RBI double into left center field. The Lions would then score four more runs, capitalizing on RBI singles by Kierstyn Smith and Ashley Elefante.
The Chargers answered back in the bottom of the third inning when Kendall Jackson hammered an RBI triple to left field. Harrisburg's offense went right back to work in the top of the fourth inning, capitalizing on two errors and two walks to score five more runs and build a 10-1 lead. LBC tried to keep the game going in the bottom of the fifth inning, putting runners on first and second, but they could not plate a run, falling 10-1.
Harrisburg's offense was led by Walker who went 2-4 with a double, an RBI, and two runs scored. Inside the circle, Kylee Miller earned her 10th win off the season, holding the Chargers to one run on five hits while striking out eight.
Game 2: #5 Penn State Harrisburg def. #4 Lancaster Bible College, 8-4 (Box Score)
Harrisburg looked to continue their momentum in game two of the doubleheader, scoring in the top of the first inning. Rylee Martinez reached on an error, allowing the first two runs of the game to score. LBC answered right back when Kiera Price smacked a two RBI double into right center field, tying the score. The Lions surged back in front in the top of the third inning, thanks to a solo home run by Emily Cutman. Harrisburg added three more runs in fourth inning, with Cutman plating two more runs, this time with a single to center field that gave the Lions a 6-2 advantage.
LBC tried to climb back into the game in the bottom of the fourth inning. After loading the bases, Grace Goodman and Kendall Jackman worked walks to cut the deficit down two. In the top of the seventh inning, Harrisburg used a single by Lauren Maguire and a double by Madisen Minney to put the game out of reach, securing the 8-4 victory.
Cutman led the way for Harrisburg in game two, going 3-4 with a home run, driving in three RBIs and scoring two runs. Inside the circle, Megan Foltz recorded her 11th win of the season, pitching 3.1 innings allowing four runs (two earned) on one hit,
