Despite controlling much of the play in the first half with a 9-4 advantage in shots, Keuka College was unable to gain an advantage and went to halftime in a scoreless tie with the Phoenix. The Wolves attacked early in the second when rookie Hannah Moon (Smithboro, N.Y.) tipped in a shot on the post just 1:25 into the half. Eight minutes later, Alysa Maddaleno (Webster, N.Y.) made it 2-0 in favor of Keuka College before Moon recorded her second of the afternoon to give the Wolves a three-goal lead. Madison St. Onge (Pendleton, N.Y.) rounded out the scoring with a goal off a corner just as time expired.

Keuka College outshot Wilson, 25-5, and finished the day with a 19-1 advantage in penalty corners. With two key goals in the championship contest, Moon was selected as the Tournament Most Valuable Player

It was a historic afternoon for the Keuka College program as the Wolves earned the win in their first postseason game. Keuka College will now advance to the NEAC/NAC Crossover Championship next Saturday where they will face NAC East Champion Husson University at 3 p.m., hosted by Wells College. The winner of that game will earn an automatic berth into the 2017 NCAA Division III Field Hockey Tournament.
