LATHAM, N.Y. - The United East is proud to announce the addition of Clarks Summit University as an associate member in the sports of men’s golf and men’s tennis. The associate membership will begin the upcoming 2022-23 year.
"We're excited to welcome Clarks Summit to the United East in men's golf and men's tennis”, remarked United East Commissioner Stephanie Dutton. “Bringing in Clarks Summit continues to bolster our sport sponsorship in these two sports to enhance our competitiveness and we look forward to providing a quality experience for their athletic programs."
Currently Clarks Summit is a member of the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC), which does not sponsor either men’s golf or men’s tennis.
Last year, the Defender’s men’ tennis squad competed in nine matches, including two against current United East members (Lancaster Bible College and Penn State Harrisburg). The Clarks Summit golf team also teed off in five competitions over the 2021-22 season.
